Tina Torres is a trial lawyer and former Judge with over 20 years of litigation experience. Her passion for helping families has always been and continues to be the driving force behind Tina's work. She has been recognized by her clients and the legal community for excellent representation in complex family law, custody, and divorce matters (which are the types of cases that make up the majority of our District Court dockets). Her experience in commercial and business litigation also provides Tina with additional and invaluable insight into the cases that are heard in our District Courts on a daily basis.
Since graduating from U.T. Austin and St. Mary's School of Law, Tina has worked tirelessly both inside and outside of the Courtroom. Whether it be representing underserved individuals through the San Antonio Bar Foundation's Community Justice Clinic, teaching San Antonians about consumer law issues through St. Mary's People's Law School, or raising money for the San Antonio Humane Society (Tina's dog became El Rey Fido XIV in 2016 as a result of her fundraising efforts), Tina is committed to serving our community.
Having been raised by a mother and father who served the community throughout their lives (Tina's father was a lifelong civil rights and consumer advocate who is known for having taken on the G.G.L. establishment in the late 60's and winning a seat on the San Antonio City Council; her mother, a retired teacher who became the first Latina elected to the Texas State Board of Education in the 70's), Tina's greatest joy, like her parents, is serving the public good.
